传 承 华 夏 文 明 弘 扬 华 族 文 化
Our Story
Founded in 2018, Huaxia Cultural Hub ("Huaxia") brings together some of the best and brightest educators, musicians, performers, administrators and supporters with the aim of creating a more vibrant and exciting Singaporean Arts Scene.
In ancient times, according to the Zuo Zhuan (左傳), Hua (華) refers to the beauty and civility of the society while xia (夏) refers to grandeur. This name represents our never-ending commitment to creating a more inclusive, harmonious and culturally rich society through the promotion and nurturing of the local arts and artistes to Singapore and the World.
Led by our Founder Mdm Lin Dengli, the team has decades of collective experience in organizing and creating cultural and charity events. Since its formation, the Hub has organized a wide range of community and cultural programmes in Singapore and overseas. These include the 26th & 27th Spring in the City & Happy Chinese New Year, Memoirs of the Lion City Musical Dance Production, Singapore-China Pre-School Education Seminar 2019, New Vision of Chinese Art World Tour Exhibition (Singapore) 2019 and the 13th National Integration Mid-Autumn Festival 2020.
In addition to organizing cultural events, Huaxia has been instrumental in promoting Singapore Culture and Heritage locally and to the world. Huaxia and its partners have organized many educational exchange activities bringing chinese students on study trips to Singapore. Furthermore, from 2020 in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Huaxia has partnered with Golden Travel to bring Singaporean Culture to local schools through interactive Virtual Tours and Heritage Walks.
